Banning kicked off the school year with a super-stylish magazine scavenger hunt!

GRANITE BAY HIGH SCHOOL

The FIDM FashionClub at Granite Bay High School kicked off a fashion show like none other showcasing eye-catching styles from Heritage Footwear and Apparel, a small boutique specializing in bohemian style clothing. With the theme of the show being “F.I.N.” which stands for Fashion Is Now, proceeds from the raffle ticket sales went to Art of Elysium, a local charity that encourages actors and artists to help critically ill children through art. “It was great to know that we are helping an organization with such a good cause through fashion,” said Hemming. Hemming says more than 40 people attended the event, much more than what members predicted. “We had 42 people attend the show, which was more than what we had planned and we actually had people standing to see the show!” Along with contributing to a charitable cause, Ashley says the purpose of the event was also to teach Fashion Club members how to put together a successful fashion show. Ashley says in the end, all of their hard work and persistence paid off. “It was great to show all of our friends and families what we’ve been working on this year in our Fashion Club,” says Hemming.
